What can I do today?
If you haven't yet made a will, visit a solicitor to have your will drawn up.
If you have already made a will, remember it is recommended that you review it at least every five years and after any major change in your life to make sure that it always reflects your wishes.
If you would like to leave a legacy or gift to the HRPS, please make sure your solicitor uses the Railway's full name, address and charity number in your will:- Helston Railway Preservation Society, a charity registered in England and Wales no. 1146711 Registered office; Trevarno Farm, Prospidnick, Helston, Cornwall, TR13 0RY
Suggested wording for inclusion in your will or codicil to your will
"I give to Helston Railway Preservation Society (Charity Number 1146711) the sum of (amount) with freedom to spend it as income and declare that the receipt in writing of the treasurer or other proper officer of that association shall be a good discharge to my executors."
We are extremely grateful for every legacy or gift we receive and we always do our utmost to honour any wishes that are made. To ensure your gift can benefit The Railway to the best advantage, we ask you to leave it without specifying that it be used for a particular area of work unless you discuss your wishes with us first.
If you are interested in including The Railway in your will then you are welcome to discuss the concept with our Office Manager - Barbara Barnes
